Turn Biosolids Into a Solution — Not a $200M Problem.
In Months — Not 3 to 5 Years.
Stircor delivers biosolids processing as a fully managed service, eliminating the need for massive upfront investment or multi‑year project timelines. Our custom, adaptable reuse platform transforms biosolids into clean energy and valuable byproducts — in months, not years.
Municipal Biosolids
A New Model: Biosolids Processing as a Service
Stircor flips the traditional model.
Instead of forcing municipalities and operators to build, own, and operate massive facilities, we deliver biosolids processing as a service — a turnkey, performance‑based solution that removes capital expense, accelerates deployment, and de‑risks long‑term operations.
With Stircor you get:
- Zero upfront capital expense
- Deployment in months, not years
- A fully managed system we design, install, operate, and maintain
- Guaranteed performance aligned to your regulatory and sustainability goals
Industry Biosolids
Turning Industrial Waste into Renewable Value.
From food processing plants to paper mills, Stircor helps industries cut disposal costs and meet environmental standards. Our on-site drying and gasification systems transform sludge into clean, reusable output—helping you minimize downtime, hauling, and emissions.
The Problem with Traditional Biosolids Solutions
Municipalities and industrial operators are under increasing pressure to manage biosolids responsibly, reduce emissions, and meet tightening regulations. But the dominant solutions on the market come with major drawbacks:
- 3–5 year development timelines before systems go live
- $100M–$300M in capital costs that strain public budgets and require voter approval
- High technology risk and long procurement cycles
- Permanent infrastructure that limits flexibility
- Ongoing operational complexity and staffing demands
The result? Delayed environmental progress, financial exposure, and missed opportunities to turn waste into value.
Stircor offers solutions that can be implemented with no capital expenses in months, not years, and without demands for staffing and management through our service model.
Modern Biosolids Management — Without the Capital Burden
At Stircor, our proven end-to-end process takes sludge or biosolid waste from the point of generation through drying, optional gasification, and beneficial reuse—all while eliminating PFAS and reducing cost, hauling and carbon footprint.
Step 1
Dewatering & Feed Preparation
We start with your existing wastewater or sludge stream, integrating seamlessly with your plant’s dewatering process. This ensures optimal feed consistency and sets the stage for efficient drying.
Step 2
Drying
Solids content is increased from 15% up to 90%. The result is a Class A-compliant, pathogen-free material that meets EPA 503 standards and dramatically lowers hauling costs.
- 80–90% volume reduction
- Multiple reuse or disposal pathways
- Odor control and storage flexibility
Step 3
Gasification (Optional)
In the next stage, dried solids enter Stircor’s indirect rotary gasifier, heated up to 1,750 °F, with thermal oxidation at 2,300 °F for complete PFAS remediation. The process breaks biosolids into clean syngas and biochar—offsetting natural gas use and achieving carbon-neutral or negative performance.
- Verified PFAS remediation to non-detect levels
- 50% additional volume reduction
- Renewable syngas offsets up to 70% of natural-gas costs
- Biochar is eligible for reuse, fertilizer, or carbon credits
Step 4
Monitoring & Compliance Support
Stircor operates each system, providing continuous monitoring, maintenance, and compliance data to support EPA 503 reporting, PFAS verification (EPA Method 1633), and carbon accounting.
Our Solutions
Stircor provides advanced, on-site processing technologies to turn waste streams into value, minimizing disposal cost, reducing regulatory risk, and generating reusable output for municipalities and industrial partners.
Biosolid Processing
We partner with wastewater facilities and industrial generators to deploy drying + optional gasification systems that reduce biosolid volume by ~80 %, produce Class A materials under EPA 40 CFR Part 503 standards and remediate PFAS to non-detect levels via EPA-verified testing.
- Fewer truck-loads and lower hauling cost
- Enables beneficial reuse or safe disposal
- Avoids regulatory and environmental liabilities
PFAS Remediation
Stircor’s indirect rotary gasification system achieves complete remediation of PFAS at verified non-detect levels. Using controlled high-temperature oxidation (up to 2,100 °F) , the process eliminates “forever chemicals” while generating renewable syngas to offset plant energy needs.
- Proven PFAS remediation using EPA Method 1633 validation
- Protects groundwater, soil, and community health
- Meets or exceeds emerging EPA and state PFAS standards
- Reduces long-term environmental liability
Biochar & Renewable Value Streams
From the dried or gasified product, we create PFAS-free biochar and green energy outputs. The biochar can be used in soil amendment, industrial applications or for carbon-sequestration credits.
- Adds revenue potential to residual waste streams
- Supports circular economy and environmental, social and governance goals
- Increases sustainability
Wood & Timber-Residual Processing
Beyond wastewater, our Wood Products Division collaborates with timberland owners and pulp & paper residual generators to monetize under-utilized material streams. We convert those feedstocks into biochar, renewable energy, and reuse-ready commodities.
- Transforms non-revenue residuals into profitable outputs
- Addresses industry-specific waste challenges (timber, pulp, paper)
- Aligns with decarbonization and resource-optimization strategies
Solutions That Work for Your Bottom Line—and the Environment
Stircor partners with municipalities and industries to eliminate costly hauling, meet PFAS regulations, and achieve net-zero goals through advanced biosolid drying and gasification.
